How to print your own Charts

You can follow along in my books and DVDs by printing your own charts.
For the best results take a 22x30 sheet of Arches 90 lb Cold Press paper, fold
lengthwise (so it is folded in half the long way) then trim the paper down to
8.5 x11 sheets so it will easily go through the printer. !40 lb is not recommend
it is harder to go through the printer. These are great to have on hand when
teaching a class or testing different  pallets. This size fits easily into folders
or post them in your studio.

"Watercolor In Motion"   2008 Release
It's the interplay between water and paint that makes this medium so exciting. It's no wonder, then, that wet-into-wet is one of the most popular methods for painting in watercolor. This unique book/DVD workshop shows you how to "go with the flow," moving watercolor across the page to create gorgeous paintings. It covers everything from selecting the best papers, paints and brushes, to achieving intense color passages, the illusion of depth and lively shadows.15 step-by-step demonstrations illustrate important lessons on shapes, complementary colors, masking fluid, glazing and more. The techniques are illustrated with Birgit O'Connor's bold and beautiful flowers, but are applicable to any subject. The included DVD shows key techniques in action-blending colors, creating hard and soft edges, and painting water drops-as well as troubleshooting common problems with washes.Watercolor has a reputation for being unpredictable. But the secret to success, as you'll learn here, is using the right amount of water, which lets you have more control ... and fun!  Hard cover sprial bound

May - October 31 2002. During this time 120 of my floral images were  being featured by Britney Spears at her new restaurant  NYLA, at the Dylan Hotel in Manhattan. These images are shown as a on a continuos loop video display on a 12' screen in the main dinning room. This was an interesting venue to expose watercolor to a larger audience.
